This week we learned Prezi. At first I was a bit nervous about using Prezi, thought the tutorial state it was easy to use, it looked confusing, however, after going through the information, it was easier than I thought. I believe Prezi would be a great tool for teachers to use on the Smartboards. It is a great way to keep the audience entertained with the transition from information verses a slide show. The movements from spinning seems much smoother than a presentation slideshow. I plan to demonstarte this to the staff as every class room has a Smartboard an this would be a much better tool.
During the reading this week I was not surprised but it was interesting to read more about Copyright. Taking the Hall Davidson's quiz was interesting, though, Copyright is a topic in many college courses, it is always interesting to see how much I need to keep up on the information in order to assure our school is not in violation.
How well do you keep up with Copyright Laws? Do you find yourself reviewing these? Do you feel as a teacher when you copy work out of book, do you ever think about Copyright Laws?
Mary,
ReplyDeleteI feel ya on the copyright stuff. It seems as though I never know enough or just need to review the current laws ! :) There are different rights for just about everything especially when dealing with images. I struggle with teaching how to credit or cite images with my students on just about any research project.
The prezi on the smartboard is great! We use it in our district and the kids and teachers like it. I have seen some really great student presentations created using prezi. Have fun spreading the fun!!
