Hello, my education adventure started in 2004 when I decided to complete my life long dream of finishing my bachelor's degree, after graduation in December, my mother suggested I roll right into my Master's program. I needless to say, here I am now finishing my Master's.
I am a bit nervous as I am not a teacher but extremely proficient with technology. I am the resource for many employees in the district and hold trainings for staff members within the school which I work in.
After being a great example for my two children that "even mom can go to school", it is a great honor to show them to pursue the dreams of education for a lifetime. I am so excited for my children to witness me going on to expand my education even more than what I ever thought I would complete in my lifetime.
My Bachelor's program was face-to-face for half of the time, but once the core classes began the entire program went online throught Stritch. The website used for the Bachelors program was Educator. It is a program that was pretty user friendly, but had some limitations. I am excited to continue with the online program.
I am hoping that during this adventure I can begin to but my knowledge to work more and more and move into a position that I can utilize everything immediately. Unlike most individuals, I do not have a classroom to implement knowledge into right away, I feel this could be a downfall for me.
Being a resource person has so many hats, this is exciting that you will be able to assist in embedding technology in classes. Let us know how we can assist!
