CEDO-520 Post #2

During this class we learned about many resources online. One of the biggest topics that I can relate to with my job is the Privacy, Ethics, and Security of activities on the internet. One topic that completely hit home was information I obtained from the website: http://epic.org/ The information about Walmart shoked me. Walmart is known for putting Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) chips into some of its men's clothing, including jeans, underwear, and socks to track where these items go. Walmart can track your whereabouts at anytime if you purchase something with a RFID. This is scary!!! I had not idea this was happening. In my opinion, this is a violation of privacy. Even though Walmart cannot identify an individual, they can still track where the "garmet" is located. Scary! What do you think do you feel this is ethical?
