Tonight's class was covering search engines. I generally tend to go directly to Google. Actually the default search engine on my smartphone is Google. I find it interesting how Verizon/LG defaults to Google. I find Google to be extremely reliable, however, knowing how to get the correct information is important though because the database is so overloaded with none useful or accurate information.
I am interested in Google Alerts which was a disucssion about tonight. It will be interesting to find out what the Alerts have to offer. I will be setting up my account for Alerts and will get back to you about my personal thoughts about Google Alerts.

Mary, like you, I tend to rely on Google. I don't know if it is because it is an easy search engine to use or I just like the name. I have Yahoo! email, but I rarely use its search engine. I think I use Google more often because I have been using it for so long and feel comfortable using it at school and for me personally. Google Alerts also interested me from our second class. After using it now for a week, I really like it. It has professional and personal benefits. I hope you liked it too!
