Week 5 CEdO530

WOW what a week! The holiday sure does put pressure on individuals. Well...I did it, the Pecha Kucha!! I was so scared and intimidated by stating this but once I got going and FINISHED, I was happy and actually proud of my work. I did my Pecha Kucha on the important things in my life. Life changes, etc and has given me a new outlook on life and the Pecha Kucha allowed me to show that. I used VoiceThread to complete it. VoiceThread was actually very simple to use and put things together nicely. Similar to Powerpoint (in a way), but I didn't find a way to keep time (20 seconds) per slide like you can with Powerpoint unless I missed something.

The Rubrics was interesting. We use them, obviously, for each class, however, to use one of the tools listed in class, it was actually VERY easy. I used the Rubric Machine tool. It was very simple to work around in and put the finished product out quickly. I will definately use this tool again.

  1. Mary,
I'm glad you got VoiceThread to work finally. I had similar trouble getting the 20 seconds per slide requirement. It was very difficult, but like you said, once I was done I was proud of my work. This class has been really rewarding but also a lot of work. I guess we're making up for some of the other classes, right?!? ;)

  2. Mary,

I, too, struggled a bit with the timing on voicethread so I switched to Imovie. After watching your pecha kucha, I see that you got it to work!

Your pecha kucha is very moving. Thank you for sharing such a personal part of your life. I wish you and your family nothing but happiness and love. I love the solar angel!!
